How is everyone? I am so sad that I haven't posted in an entire year and even then it was once every several months or even another half year to a year :(

I haven't been doing much with makeup...or anything beauty related actually! I've done a little bit of thrift store shopping, Etsy and small one item/two item swaps. I've found all kinds of goodies on the two trips I made to the thrift store though! :] I loveeee thrifting! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get much use from these items because I haven't gone anywhere. I wear scrubs at work, which limits my fashion freedom tremendously on a daily basis. I have found a couple of unique things on Esty too that I will share that with you whenever I get around to the thrift store finds.

So the above look is a look (not much of one, I know) I did a couple weekends ago when I hung out with my younger sister/ friends. This has been my typical everyday look for months now though... I haven't even been putting on top lid eyeliner or lipstick!

Hey loves!

How is everyone? I have recently decided to try out new foundations (haven't yet)! I have been wearing Buff'd Mineral foundation for years now. My usual shade is Beige Medium Tan (I think this used to be called Buff- they have switched the names!). I have never worn this dry, instead I wet it with my mixing medium and apply with a beauty blender sponge. I have been very happy with the outcome overall. It looks very natural, I can layer for lighter-heavier coverage, price isn't horrible ($18), and the shade usually looks great in natural lighting and camera. Sometimes it will make my face look lighter in pictures with flash (I think this is due to certain ingredients in mineral makeup?). I just ordered but have yet to receive , a darker shade to maybe help with this- Beige Medium Dark.

I think I am just ready to try something new AND I am hoping I can find one that stays on longer. That would be my only complaint... I usually notice fading by the end of my work day, typically around my mouth area and nose for the most part. Any recommendations would be fabulous!

So, a lot is going on this month! This includes my boyfriend progressing in his music career :] I am very proud of him, he puts his heart and soul into his music. He has a show in two weeks and then a HUGE show (concert size at a performance location arena) sometime soon! He is planning to release a new album within a couple weeks or so and he asked for my help with the title name/album cover. I came up with several ideas but one of my favorites and strongly suggested title name to him was "Defying Gravity". He absolutely loved it! Many things have happened that have tried to keep him down, especially in his music career, so I felt this was a perfect match :]

Now, I am trying to come up with some ideas for the actual album cover. I have jotted down a couple of ideas and sketched. I am turning to you ladies for additional ideas :] Any/all would be much appreciated! I know you all are very creative (of course, we love makeup/fashion/everything beautiful!). I will make sure to post a picture of it too when it is all finished!

Hey ladies!

So, I saw this post on the lovely "Jo Make Me Blush" blog and thought it would be fun to do! Thanks doll ;) Please feel free to join with us and post this tag too!

1. Do you apply your foundation with a brush, sponge, or fingers?
I used to use my mineral foundation as is and applied with a regular brush. I then discovered I loved using my mineral foundation wet and purchased red sponges from an online mineral site. Months later I discovered the fabulous Beauty Blender (through a swap) and have not tried anything else. I really want to try MAC brushes, as I have never used/owned any and I heard the 187/188 are wonderful for foundation.

2. Do you apply your eyeshadow from light to dark? or dark to light?
Typically, light to dark.

3. Do you prime your eyes?
Honestly, I never do unless it's a special occasion and sometimes even then I forget. I need to start doing it more! When I do, I use Urban Decays.

4. Concealer first, or after foundation?
I have always been told and have learned if you do concealer after foundation, it gives you more/longer lasting coverage. I used to apply before.

5. Go for manicures, or manicure yourself?
I used to get my nails done but due to not having any money, I do them myself. I am trying to grow my natural nails out now and just getting into polishes/what not.

6. Exfoliate lips, face or both?
I exfoliate both lips and face.

7. On average, how long does it take you to do your makeup?
I would say average is 25-30 minutes.

8. Do you wear makeup everyday and everywhere?
I usually wear makeup everyday and always go with a tinted moisturizer if I choose to wear no makeup.

9. What release are you most excited about? (Makeup)
I am excited for the new MAC Collection "In The Groove". Seems to obtain some pretty face and lip products!

10. What's your weakness? Shoes, purses, clothes, jewelry, eyeshadow, lipstick or other?
ALL, plus plus plus!

11. Do you whiten your teeth?
Very, very rarely. I haven't for a very long time and when I do, I use Crest Strips only. I usually forget to use them on a daily basis too...woops!

12. Wax eyebrows, or pluck?
I have always plucked my own, never waxed/shaved.

13. What do you use to contour?
I usually use MAC blush in "Blunt" or MAC blush in "Harmony" for contouring.

14. False lashes, or natural?
Natural, never tried falsies.

15. Favorite makeup brand?
MAC, of course and Illamasqua at the moment, but there are so many great products from all kinds of different brands!

16. Liquid eyeliner, pencil or gel?
I haven't practiced enough with liquid, usually go for pencil or a matte black eyeshadow for eyeliner purposes. I have used gel and it is great for a more intense look.

17. Lipstick, lipgloss or chapstick?
OooOoo, ALL!? If I had to pick one, I would say lipgloss.

18. Pigments, pressed or cream eyeshadow?
Pressed first, pigments second (messy but beautiful!), and cream last.

19. If you had to wear only one thing, excluding foundation; what would it be?
I would have to say mascara for me! I think lashes always add that special touch to a womans face! Bronzer or blush would be my second choice.

20. Favorite color?
PEACH!

21. Favorite color combination?
Color combination could mean all kinds of things! If we are just talking about in general, I would have to say white and darker neutrals- love the color contrasts and earthy feel of the two mixed.

22. Natural? or Dramatic? (Eye Makeup)

Natural but I love a good "dramatic" smokey eye!

23. Do you care more for quality or name brand?
Of course quality!

24. Do you enjoy using face masks? If so which ones
I do, however I haven't tried too many. When I do, it is usually a sample so I cannot answer this one accurately.

25. What is your current addiction? (example: lipsticks, eyeshadows, earrings..)
Everything! :] I would say I am trying to play around more with eyeshadows, as I don't have too many good ones. Will forever be a blush/bronzer/highlight junkie! I recently really got into lipsticks too but I have been on that addiction longer than the shadows. Also just getting into the "nail world" and adore everything Vintage!

Hey ladies! So, I am doing my best to keep up with others blogs and my own! I managed to find a picture that was taken completely at random and NOT for this blog, what so ever. It was taken I would say sometime late April or the beginning of May of this year. We were in the car on our way home from a house party late that night and realized we didn't take one single picture! I am always complaining about not having pictures to have as memories- I need to remember to start taking more!

Anyway, the picture has a look that I do often with my neutrals, so I thought I would share! I don't always use these exact brands/shades- I use different products nor do I use them exactly this way, just similar neutral look.This is not the best picture to say the least though, due to the randomness of it (not taken for makeup purposes), especially the angle, and it was the end of the evening so makeup was coming off at that point, sleepiness, etc! Hey ladies!

I know I haven't posted anything really for literally over a year (besides smaller, quick posts with no pics) .. ekk!! Things have just been sooo crazy and please believe nothing has changed- still chaos! However, I did manage to actually take a pic or two :] Woohoo! I haven't had a working computer for over a year, sadly, so that has definitely been one of the major set backs. Secondly, I haven't had the time really. Anyway, slowly but surely I will get back to 'normal', at least partially...hopefully!

Also, I will be hosting my FIRST giveaway now that I have reached 200 followers- yay!!! THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH! It truly means a lot to me. As of right now, I will not be giving a promise date for this giveaway, due to my unknown schedule. I haven't forgotten about the Hard Candy review either... to be honest, I haven't tried or used the products that much and some not at all, so I want to make sure I have fair/accurate testing of the products first.

Below are pictures of "smokey eye" look I did, for just a little party I went to over the weekend. I wasn't planning on leaving the house actually but with much convincing, my little sister talked to me into it. I had to be very quick and ended up changing it a tad at the very last minute. My sister doesn't wear much makeup... especially eye makeup. I however adore "darker" smokey eyes, subtle smokey eye, natural eye- I love it all! I decided to go a little darker because I haven't done that in some time. I did have some fall out though (I need some more practice!) and used a Sleek shadow I have never used before in a matte black, as well as a Barry M Fine Glitter Dust, so I wasn't really prepared/experienced with them and didn't have time to change my mind! Overall though, I was happy with it.

*The first picture below is CLEARLY before I brushed my hair, used hair product, or styled it! Sorry ;) I had JUST blow dried my hair and took the pic real quick- as I said, I was in a hurry! Very nude lip too, I later made it a tad warmer with a caramel colored sheer lipgloss on top of the nude lip. I also went back and added some more "glitter" to it because it was coming off a bit dull. The first and last pictures, I hadn't got the "fall out" completely off of my under eyes yet. My camera isn't the best and tends to really wash out my face some too. For intsance, the smokey eye looks more grey then black and I did not use any grey. In person it showed to be black in color, with gold glitter sparkles and the lighter brown shade above the crease warmed it up a little. Also, the blush was more vibrant! In person, my hair/eyebrows come off a little bit darker as well. Please excuse my bangs, they were not cooperating what so ever!

Arbonne Tinted Brow Wax in "Brunette"- should have put more on, this was what was on my eyebrows since 6:00AM that morning before work and it's a VERY sheer brow wax. I totally forgot to put more on when I redid my eyes and what not- woops!

Palladio (need to do a review on these items too by this brand! Adore, oh I adore this brand so far!) Herbal Lipgloss in "Mocha Cream"

Love or Hate it?

I have always been a big fan of this beautiful lady- Lea Michele. She is elegant and I love seeing how she puts together her looks! I normally cannot find one thing I would change and I relate to her very well . I personally ADORE this look on her! The color of the dress is the perfect deep blue. I love how it is one sleeved, with a sheer overlay on the top and tight fitting middle section to create lovely curves. The bottom is fun and flirty- but not too much. As you know, some ladies take it a little too far! The shoes coordinate as well as the jewelry, hair, and makeup. She didn't go too dramatic with anything, just enough. I love the contoured cheeks, light smokey eye, and nudey lips. The hair is perfect to me as well, simple and sexy- the shade is amazing and shiny!

Hey dolls! How is everyone!?!?

I am going to start posting questions for you beautiful ladies since I am CURRENTLY (keeping fingers crossed) unable to do regular posts for you and badly need updated on the beauty world :] Plus, it's fun!

Highlighting products have become an obsession of mine over the past several months. Perfecting that perfect glow just makes all the difference to me for my everyday look! I dislike chunky glittery sparkley highlighters like most and my goal is to always create a glowy dewy look to my skin. I'm a huge fan of the natural tan healthy golden goddess look, so highlighting plays a big role in achieving this look for me. Unfortunately though, my cash flow has not allowed me to experiment with too many highlighters :[. I have heard fabulous reviews of the Bunny Rouge highlighter but have yet to try it. It seems to be the most promising product for what I am wanting to get from a highlighter, according to what beauty bloggers have to say. Has anyone tried this brand/product? Although that is a question, it isn't my question for you today! ;] I have been wanting to try MAC Soft & Gentle, Refined, Moon River, and Perfect Topping too! :/ Maybe one day!

Question: What are your top 5 highlighting products?

They do not HAVE to be labelled as a highlighting product, I know some of you ladies can be very creative/smart! Also, any input on application or additional information would be great with it!

*MAC Sunsparked Pearl Beauty Powder- I am not sure if they even still sell this because I received it in a swap for one of my clutches. Not to mention, I have been to a MAC counter ONE TIME in my life, how crazy is that!?! It was one located inside Macy's too, so they had limited product. The closest mall is so far from me, so it makes it very hard. This is my go to everyday highlighter. It reminds me of MAC pigment vanilla but with a lot less gold sheen to it. This stays on from morning til evening :] I badly want to try the other ones from this collection!

*MAC Margin Blush- Also received this in a swap- LOVE MakeUpAlley.com! I normally use this at night time only since it is a very high pigmented highlighter. The "sheen" payoff on this is ridiculously good, one light stroke of your brush is all you need. It's a peachy toned highlighter (my fav.). Stay on power is fabulous too.

*NYC Chroma Face Glow in Sunstone- I had to throw in a cheaper highlighter, good AND cheap- I'm down! For only $4.99 you can also get a gorgeous glow! It has a peachy tone to it, I tend to go for peachy/tan tones. This gives a pretty sheen like the others above, no glitter.

*MAC Vanilla Pigment- Yay, a two in one- gotta love that! This used very lighting on the cheek bones is amazing! I also use it under the brow bone and in the corner of my eyes. It is white based with gold sheen and very easy to blend. One of my fav. MAC products overall.

*MAC Nuance Blush- (Got in swap!)Yes, I know- another peachy toned one! This is very pretty! For lighter toned girls, this would work better as a blush but works great for me over my bronzer!

MAC Global Glow (is gorgeous as well!This one is a warm bronzey highlight shade. I wanted Shooting Star but heard it is identical to Global Glow.

Sephora Haul

SEPHORA WILL BREAK THE BANK!!! Although I am not so pleased with spending another $150+, I am VERY pleased with my purchases....:]

* ($24.00) Rene Furterer Naturia Shampooing Sec "Dry Shampoo" is amazing! I am so glad I got this one instead of Oscar Blandi's or Ojon's. Not only does it come out in a clear/cognac color, unlike the others such as Oscar Blandi's, which are powdery white and take a minute to soak in, but it doesn't smell HORRIBLE like Ojon's either! Woop woop! The smell is okay and it isn't a white powdery look; this one gets 5 stars for sure! If you can spend a little on yourself with your next paycheck, check this out! Four out of the five ladies at Sephora picked this as their favorite!

* Excuse the horrible picture, but it washed out the text with the flash. This is Caudalie's Grape Water ($13.00), which is used as a toner or to refresh/hydrate the skin. This can be used any time of the day, and even used to set your makeup! Gotta love those 2 n' 1's :] It's 100 % plant-based and sooths your skin. The ingredients are literally grape extract and water. There's no need to pat it dry and it instantly gives you that dewy look!

*NARS Bronzer in Laguna ($29.00) is beyond gorgeous. So far, my favorite bronzer to date! It has very little shimmer and isn't orangey like most. It gives you a fresh healthy glow and it blends lovely. Many bronzers tend to cake up or blotch, which I absolutely hate! This one hasn't done that for me and is perfect for medium toned girls. The only con is the price, but I definitely think it's worth it. % stars for this one two ladies.

*Not the best pic again (sorry!). This is Smashbox's Brow Tech in "Brunette" ($24.00). I've used this only once, and I am in love with it! It looks so natural but still gives you that great color and ability to define your eyebrows. One side is wax and the other is powder. The size of this makes it great for traveling too! Once again the price isn't too great, $24.00 is high, BUT honestly this will last you AWHILE. Not to mention the color pay off and quality matches the dollar signs. Just like the bronzer, the price tag was easy to ignore! :]

*Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel in "Espresso" ($19.00) is wonderful! The color matches me perfectly and it doesn't flake. I've only used this twice, but so far I love it. The only con's I can see with this one is the brush is a little big when it comes to doing the "ends" of your eyebrows (if your pretty good with application it's not hard at all though) and also they only have I think 4 color options to choose from, making this hard for some.

*($24.00) NARS lipg loss in "Turkish Delight" is a soft pink and has a little bit of a milky effect to it. It's not sticky like most glosses tend to be, and it doesn't take tons of applications to get good color. I have been looking for a soft pink like this for awhile now. Most tend to be overly milky looking and it just looks ewwy. Obviously the price is the biggest con. I wish they weren't so expensive or I'd buy tons more! Kim Kardashian has named this particular NARS lip gloss in "Turkish Delight" as one of her absolute favorites. She's so beautiful though, throw some green lip gloss on the girl and she'll still look amazing.

*Lastly, I picked up Sephora's Angle Brow Brush ($9.00) for the Smashbox brow powder/wax. Next to it, is Laura Geller's Liquid Candlelight face & body glow that was a freebie! I haven't used the liquid glow yet, but it's very pretty and anything free is okay with me! I did try a little bit on my hand and it might be a tad too shimmery for your face. I think it would be fine during summer for your cheekbones (applied lightly) and def. can be used for your brow bone as a highlighter. This would also work great for your chest area!

*"Lollipop" is a shimmery sherbet orange color. This would look great on fair skinned gals or darker skinned gals with a bronzed look. Unfortunately, I don't think it looks the best on me with my medium skin tone :[ booo. It's very pretty though! If anyone wants to swap/buy this one, let me know.

*"Taupe" is a lovely nude gloss. You might want to wear a little bit of a darker shade underneath...one that has a natural lip color tint to it or a darker nude, as this one is a very pale color and might wash your lips out. If you apply it light though, it looks fine.

Lipstick: *"Circe" is a perfect nude color, I adore it! Must have too.

**Concealer: The concealer wand is great and my back up jars are the best! If you haven't tried this concealer, go get ya one (only $4.50 @ Cherry Culture)! This was the first time I've used the wand though, and surprisingly, it works just as good as the jar. I think it might have a little less coverage (nothing extreme) but would be great for days where you don't want to have such heavy coverage!

Eyeshadows: Amuse Shimmer Duster in what I think is called "Bronze" is actually really pretty & the pigment is great. The application is like a smudge tip, which makes these GREAT for using as a liner on the top or bottom lashes! I think I'm ordering more colors when I get my next haul (ekkk, already talking about another one)! Not to mention they are only $.99 cents :] Gotta love those good deals! NYX's loose pigment in "Penny" is exactly what I wanted it to be! If you are into the reds, definetly give this one a try! I have been wanting a pretty red shadow..not a bright one though like you tend to see. This did the trick! To me, it's that glamorous yet rusty red color...like you you usually see in a lipstick color but with a blast of shimmer; yeah, that's how I'll describe it. Haha. I just need a good orangey/bronze color to pair this with now. Anyone know of a good color to match with "Penny", please share!?

So, I stepped outside today to go get the mail and to my surprise there was a big ol' package for me! The package was from Toma (check her out!) over at Makeup Masala. She had a Giveaway going on for her 35th Birthday! How sweet of her to do this for her reader's, not to mention for HER day! Reader's were to submit a list of 35 beauty products they considered to be some of their favorites, and then a winner would be randomly selected. One morning before work, I got on to blog a little and saw I had won the Birthday Giveaway! She even took the time to get it shipped to me BEFORE she left for her Birthday weekend at a resort with her lova, what a sweetheart!

I received my Silk Naturals purchase today! I only ordered two things, because I really really need to SAVE for a new car AND phone! :[ BLAH, life.

I ordered blush in "Climax" and the lip kiss bliss in "Divine".

* I LOVE the kiss bliss in "Divine". The color is such a perfect nude for me, yay! It seems to be okay as far as moisturizing goes too, and the pigment is perfect. Both the blush and kiss bliss were smaller in size than I imagined. The blush size almost looks like it should be an eyeshadow jar...but it was $6.50 and mineral makeup in general tends to be less in product in comparison to price, so that makes sense. Plus, loose powders last you awhile. I haven't used the blush on my actual face yet, but as you can see in the swatch it is pale. I wasn't expecting it to be this pale and I am not pleased with it as a blush. On the bright side though, it would be SO pretty as a highlighter!

I also picked up L'Oreal's De-Crease eyeshadow base. I haven't got a chance to try UDPP, so this was an alternative until I can get it. It was $7.99 at CVS and it seems to be promising according to beauty bloggers and other reviews. I have yet to try it, I will this weekend.

Still waiting on my Cherry Culture haul to arrive, I will post something on it when it gets here! :]

NYX Loose Pigments, Applied DRY
(from L to R): "Charcoal", "Ocean Blue", "Yellow/Gold", "Walnut"

^Above are some of my favorite NYX loose pigments (that I have anyways, as I haven't tried them all). "Walnut" and "Yellow/Gold" are GORGEOUS, I adore those two! "Charcoal" is perfect if your wanting to create the smokey eye, along with other great looks. "Ocean Blue" is such a pretty shade of blue! I haven't wore it yet, but it looks lovely on the skin.

NYX Single Eyeshadows, Applied DRY (from L to R): "Seafoam Green", "Red Bean Pie", "Golden Poppy"

"Seafoam Green" is pretty sheer and has a powdery look/feel to it. Although I love the color, I don't exactly like the texture and pigmentation. When WET it goes on smoother. "Red Bean Pie" is gorgeoussss and its SO smooth and it has REALLYgood pigmentation! "Golden Poppy" is more on the sheer side, like Seafoam Green, but not AS much and its pigmentation is better. You have to layer it a little bit to get more intense color, but the color itself is lovely and it still looks gorgeous when sheer, especially if your wanting to go for a more "natural" look. It's a perfect mix of yellow and gold, not TOO yellow and not TOO gold.

NYX Loose Pigments & Round Lipstick Swatches/Reviews

The loose pigments by NYX, also known as Ultra Pearl Mania, truly do have GREAT pigmentation. I absolutely love em'! There's all different colors to choose from and a little goes a very long way (don't let the size of the container fool you!). After testing these out I couldn't believe that I only paid $1 for each (not including tax and shipping & handling), but I'm not complaining! I love it when I can find really good quality products for an even better price. Below are swatches for 4 different colors, I believe I have a total of 15 different colors of the loose pigments and I'll post more swatches of those soon, as well as NYX's single eye shadows (I have a total of 14 different colors in those).

As for NYX's "Round" Lipsticks, I don't plan to buy these again. The texture was nice and creamy but I disliked the colors. I got one in "Rea" and in "Perfect". You definitely need a gloss to put on top of these lipsticks and make sure you have smooth mositurized lips, because when it dries and sets into your lips it loses what little shine it had to begin with and is very dry. The "Rea" color reminds me of foundation to be honest. When I put it on it looks just like I put a darker shade of foundation on my lips! The color "Perfect" was an okay color, but once again you need gloss with it or it will look really dull. I'm so glad I only paid a dollar for these as well!

So, I've decided to make a blog because I'm bored with Myspace and Facebook; they're EXTREMELY overrated and more than likely cause b/s drama (I think most of you can relate!). The only thing I've gained from Myspace is the availability of new artists music. Both Facebook and Myspace are good for keeping in touch with people too but there is always e-mail or hey, that thing called a cell phone ;)

Anyways, so I actually wanted to be able to write and post things instead of just commenting people and pictures. This site isn't based on one particular subject or thing, I'll be posting anything and everything. Feedback is greatly appreciated!
